CB Cleveland
Wins Community Service Award
March 16, 2009 The "Custom-Builders" Cleveland Group were presented the "Community Service Project of the Year Award" as part of the Cleveland Choice Awards presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland for their participation in the Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz.
The Home Builders Blitz is an annual partnership between professionals in the residential home building industry and Habitat for Humanity affiliates to build affordable homes across the nation. Home Builders Blitz 2008 began with a week of blitz building from May 31 to June 7, 2008. By week’s end, more than 1,000 building industry professionals had helped 110 Habitat affiliates create 263 new homes across the United States.
As part of Home Builders Blitz 2008, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity and CB Cleveland built two homes during the week of May 31 – June 7.
This is the second Home Builders Blitz event in Cleveland
From bare foundations to fully framed and finished houses, the rapid construction helped get hundreds of partner families into their own new homes. Many crews spent the final day of Home Builders Blitz 2008 hosting dedication ceremonies with the families who will be moving into the new homes. It was an emotional opportunity for everyone involved to come together, to celebrate and to give thanks.
CB Cleveland is composed of a number of east side and west side builders who are committed to supporting our local economic interests and Cleveland area families.
